Trichodermamides
Trichodermamides, are a family of modified dipeptides, isolated from cultures of the marine-derived fungus Trichoderma virens reported in 2003 by Clardy, Fenical and Jensen. The trichodermamides possess a rare cyclic O-alkyl-oxime functionality incorporated into a six-membered ring. Synthesis of the more active, trichodermamide B, was recently completed in the Zakarian laboraory (read it here) and Joullie laboratory (read it here). Studies are now underway to unveil the mode of action of trichodermamide B in collaboration with the Joullie laboratory.
