Norrisolide

Our efforts have now focused on identifying the molecular receptor(s) that are involved in this norrisolide's regulation of Golgi vesiculation. In collaboration with Gianni Guizzunti during his stay in Malhothra lab, we have begun to apply immunoprecipitation techniques to isolate the norrisolide receptor. Using synthetic material from the Theodorakis laboratory (read more here), efforts were made to screen for protein targets. While probes were prepared (read more here), all target identification efforts using either an immunoaffinity fluorescent or streptavidin-biotin approaches failed. Due to a lack of material supply these studies have been suspended.
