Xenobe Research Institute

The Xenobe Research Institute was founded in 2004 to forward Natural Product Drug Discovery. Our mission is simple : to identify new clinically relevant natural products or natural product analogs through a research environment that lacks walls. Our approach is also quite simple : programs are initated to study the function and clinical utility of terrestrial and marine natural products. Each program focuses on evaluating a single natural product or class of natural products. Once a study begins investigators are openly invited to join in our effort to complete a full preclinical study on that material. We have found that progression to the clinic is enhanced when teams of scientists from university, non-profit research, governmental and industrial settings collaborate in an open fashion. A description of each project is provided chronologically in the table above.

Individual projects are commonly-used device to store and archive natural products, a 96-welled plate. Each well depicts one program under investigation. Roll over the wells to inspect each programs and click the wells to read about them.
